Proficient in picking up any new technology with a fast learning curve, and with the skill of acquiring skills, open for any project associated with latest technologies and practices.

Currently working on Django based database management and usage framework with web based end user front end. Databases can be on PostgreSql, MySql or any other database supported by Django framework. Web server used is Apache and could be any other web server which can be integrated with Django framework.

Past Projects completed were using Computational Geometry, Algorithm and Datastructures, CAD/CAM core level programming (Parasolid, ACIS), File Formats, C++, STL, Boost, Python, Databases, Debugging and Refactoring, Visual Studio and Linux portability,

About

I am techie at heart and will remain hooked to the first thing I started with, that being STEM and computational sciences and will keep working in the field of technology and software development. This consulting company being the effort to continue working in the field apart from whatever endeavor I am involved in otherwise.

Even before joining the engineering program, I was always interested in everything gadgets, nature, science and mathematics. After graduation I started with computation geometry related software development where I worked for few years before taking a break.

The break from work was to acquire my ‘fixed wing glider’ pilot license and I clocked more than 60 hours of flight time with max time of 312 hours in around 350 total flight launches. After acquiring the license, I worked for another couple of years taking break again this time to complete multitude of online courses on MOOC websites (Certificates).

During this time, I also got interested in biohacking and nutrition. With researching and using cutting edge knowledge in medical science and nutrition I have achieved remarkable results in terms of my own personal health and fitness.

After this, once again to get back to work, I shifted to USA on H1B work visa and worked there for couple of years. Since I always wanted to further my education and to acquire a formal degree in Computer Science, I joined University of California Irvine (UCI) for masters in computer science program for which my degree is pending, falling short of 12 credits requirement which I plan to complete in near future.

Along with the masters program, I discovered another very interesting activity of driving around the scenic routes in and around southern California and USA. I have done many marathon interstate drives, and have frequently traveled along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1). Every other day I would drive to Los Angeles and discover the city in its every aspect.

After returning back to India, I incorporated this one person private limited software development and consultancy company with the first project being incorporating and setting the company, creating its website and establishing it all by myself. Along with that I am working on an in-house software development project.

Apart from technology, nutrition and natural sciences, I have dabbled with finance in creating and managing a stock and mutual fund portfolio which pays well for me to get independent and start my own consultancy company.

I have been always an avid reader of everything to do with science (natural and applied), literature, science-fiction and fantasy, world and cultures, philosophy, spirituality. I also developed interest in international movies and shows and have watched almost most of the top international movies and uncountable obscure ones (and discovered lots of hidden gems to be found in them) .

I am also an avid PC game player and have enjoyed most of the top games released since ‘Quake’ and ‘Half-Life 2’. One of the most recent project was to create a heavily modded instance of ‘Skyrim’ which makes the game timeless (NOLVUS).

Information

Current Project

Database related project with web based end user interface (Platform as a service, PaaS).

Database related project with web user interface.

Key words: Django, PostgreSQL, Apache, Python, HTML, Anaconda, CSS

  • A generic, easily customizable, framework with web based user interface and database.
  • To develop a ‘software as a service’ (SaaS) web-browser based front-end using ‘Django’ and ‘Apache’ web server and ‘PostgreSQL’ as database manager and server.
  • Required Features: Secure, Ease of access, Robust, Elegant, Maintainability.
  • Currently ready: A proof of concept prototype of a record managing framework. The current prototype uses ‘Django’ as framework which integrates with ‘PostgreSQL’ and ‘Apache’ server. The database manager and the web server can be easily replaced with any other data manager and server. Already tested with ‘MySql’ as data manager. This prototype can be easily extended to full fledged framework and can be customized for any specific purposes (e.g. Library Catalog system or Business Ledger book).
  • To extend functionality: schema based automated customization and easy migration from existing database managers. And to provide secure links to external data sources.
